U.S. Code app for iPhone and iPad

The entire United States Code, loaded onto your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad so that you can access all federal statutes without using the internet.

Search, browse, or use legal citations to find the sections youre looking for. Keep bookmarks, scroll through each chapter of the code as if its a book, and email code sections to yourself or others.

This app is provided as a free service by Shawn Bayern, an assistant professor at the Florida State University College of Law. Its a personal project, not one that represents the university or anyone else.

Of course, its intended for informational purposes only, and its not meant to provide legal advice or legal services of any kind. You should always confirm that the information in this application is correct and still current law before relying on it.

Im always open to comments and happy to improve the application if you have suggestions. Id consider breaking off individual titles of the code, for example, if there seems to be interest in smaller versions.

PLEASE NOTE: A small number of users have apparently had difficulty installing this application through iTunes. The problem appears to be related to a bug in the Windows version of iTunes. If you install the application directly on your iPhone or iPad (over a wireless connection), that avoids the bug in iTunes. Apple and I are working to resolve the problem. Its not a bug in this application, and the vast majority of users can install and run the application without encountering any problems.
